Latika (Assamese) - dedicated to our amazing manager Latika
This shirt is naturally dyed, hand-spun and hand-woven by our team in and sewn in a small studio in South Delhi. We used the dye of the Indian madder root to achieve a shade of rich . The silk is called and cultivated by Assamese tribal communities South West of Guwahati. It is a wild silk and the moth leaves a hole in the cocoon as it has to be empty before it can be processed. Therefore it has a structure which is rather similar to linen. No chemicals or pesticides have been used during the process.The top has a tailored fit and is available in size S, M, L, XL. The model wears size S. The collar is elegant and there is delicate stitching on the sleeves. The buttons are 100% shell with a slight light brown sheen.
